Bats! review

Hi!
I constantly keep forgetting that it's Saturday, oh well, at least I get the chance to watch the episode...
Here's the link by the way!
Time to review.
-Summary-
Applejack was about to buck some apples, when she saw that the evil fruitbats have returned. But not usually fruitbats VAMPIRE fruitbats!
...AND intelligent

Basically they suck out all the juice out of the apples. And AJ doesn't want them to harm her precious gigantic apple
that is a one huge apple

Everypony wants to get rid of the bats except Fluttershy. They sing a cool song to explain why the bats are bad. And we find out that AJ is Batman:

She asks Twi to cast a spell on the bats so they would stop ruining her orchard, but in the process, while Fluttershy was preforming The Stare, she accidentally turned Flutters into a batpony. And nopony knows that until next evening, when the set out on the hunt for the mysterious persona who keeps snatching her apples.

the symptoms are showing... but those apples... they look sooo goood....

Long story short, they discover Fluttershy's new found personality and try to turn her back by making her Stare at herself. In the end we are shown that she still has the fangs... sneeky...
-Music-

Stop the bats! Stop the bats!

Make them go and not come back!

The image of them chanting  that was awesome! And the tune- it was so catchy!
My sister, who isn't a fan, pointed out that since season 2 there seems to be a lot of background music. Personally, I can't agree more. Try to watch an episode and listen carefully-  (almost) every emotion, (almost) every action is follow by a sound. It can be annoying sometimes but I'm cool with it.
-Personal Opinion-
-  The name "Bats!" is a reference to the musical "Cats"
-Speaking of references- there's a few in this EP! The signals ponies had reminded me of a certain millionaire....

the heroes Ponyville deserves, but not the ones it needs

-Pinkie is just... illogical. Pinkie Pie, thats not how manes work!

- Loved the batpony design! And love that the cutie mark changed too!

she is adorable even when she's evil.......
-AJ, what's up with that expression?

-Overview-
This episode was cool, but if it wasn't for Fluttershy's cuteness or that song, I would put it on the bottom of my "Cool Episodes" list. I'm giving it a 5 out of 10. Sorry Flutterbat!
Anyway, have a great day/night, and see you next year!

Power-Ponies Review

Hi!
It's time for the MANE event of the evening- the review. Puns. I hate those.
And sorry for being so late with it!
-Summary-
Spike is reading his comic late at night, and wakes up Twilight. The next morning, Twilight and her friends clean up Celestia and Luna's old castle.  Spike wishes to pitch in, but the ponies decline. Twilight tells him to find someplace quiet to read his comic, and Spike shuffles off, feeling useless.
In a few words (I'm really tired of these long summaries) - they get sucked into the comic, which is kinda magic, find themselves in MAREtropolis with awesome super-powers, defeat the villain to return back home.
Ponies and their other SuperNames:
ApplejackMistress Mare-velous - Has a lasso that she can psychically control, and also makes use of restraining horseshoes called "hoofarangs"
Fluttershy - Saddle Rager - Can turn into a hulking monster with tremendous strength when she gets angry
Pinkie PieFili-Second - The "fastest pony in all of Maretropolis"; can run a distance of miles in mere seconds
Rainbow DashZapp - Can control the forces of nature through her lightning bolt necklace
Rarity - Radiance -  Can create energy constructs with her jewelry
SpikeHumdrum - nothing   >:D
Twilight SparkleMasked Matter-Horn - Can generate energy beams with a variety of uses from her horn, such as energy blasts and freeze rays

-Villain-
Lets meet the villain- the Mane-iac
Originally she was the owner of a shampoo company, and one faithful day she fell into some mysterious green liquid and got electrocuted. The accident gave her super-natural powers  and caused her to go insane.
She then decided to steal some magical electro-orb, which she will use to power her evil weapon- Hairspray Ray of Doom (it actually is just an over-sized hairdryer).
She gets struck by her own weapon, and as the result her mane goes crazy and tangles her up.
Why didn't she think that through?!
-Personal Opinion-
This episode wasn't very bedazzling, but hey, mane 6 as superheroes? And lots of cool references?  It can't be bad!
Now for the stuff I pointed out:
- So many superhero references.  How could this be an MLP episode without references?
- Why did the ponies go and fix the castle? Can't Celestia send a royal cleaning team or something? I've got a feeling that in the process of cleaning they will find some clues about that box.
- Their costumes as the Power Ponies are pretty cool. And so are their powers.  If I could choose, I would have Rarity's or Twi's powers.
- Speaking of Twi's powers- can't she do that anyway? If she was human it would be kinda awesome - shoot energy beams and stuff, but she's a Unicorn Alicorn, aren't energy beams kinda common with them?
- Is it just me, or there have been a lot of puns lately? Castle-MANE-ia; the MANE-iac; Mistress MARE-velous? PLS STHAP!
- At first I didn't like Spike, but with every episode i fell more sorry for him. Poor guy, even in a magic superhero world he turned out to be a simple sidekick.
- Did anyone notice a lot of identical henchponies? even their Cutie-Marks are the same!
-Overview-
The new season haven't "wowed" me yet.
But the episode was nice. One thing that disappointed me was the shallowness of the villain.
8 out of 10

Flight to the Finish

Happy Sunday! It's certainly happy for me!
As you probably guessed- it's review time.
Let's roll!
-Summary-
Basically, Rainbow Dash has to "train" teams of little ponies, one of whom will have the joy of carrying the Ponyville flag on the Equestria Games. Naturally, the Cutie Mark Crusaders want to win the competition (spoiler alert- they won).
They come up with a radical routine, and Diamond Tiara is green with envy, so she decides to break the gang up by telling Scootaloo that she's a useless pegasus (no one talks to my favorite filly like that!).
Scoot spends every minute trying to learn to fly, but she still can't get it right so she quits.
At first her friends leave to the competition without her, but Dash talks some sense into them, and they return to get back Scootaloo. They rush on her scooter to the Crystal Empire and win the competition!
-Music-
"Hearts As Strong As Horses" is my new jam. Seriously, that song is so catchy. The show's musicians are awesome, they never fail to amaze me.
-Other Stuffs-
Did you notice the lightning and focus in the new season? I certainly did! I love the lightning, the focus sometimes sets me off, but hey, it's progress! It can't be stopped!
-Personal Opinion-
I think that this is the coolest episode in season 4 yet. I'm adding it to my personal favorites for sure.
Now for some things I pointed out for myself:
• I love the CMC's routine, but is Ponyville the only town in Equestria with all 3 ( even 4- Twilight is an Alicorn) types on ponies living together?
• Does the song confirm the existence of horses in Equestria? I mean, those Saddle-Arabia ambassadors we horse-like, but they weren't cannon as "Horses"
• Granny Smith hoof bump scene. That was awesome. Granny Smith is awesome.
• Rainbow isn't much of a coach... And if Scootaloo needs a flying coach, she got to go to Shining Armor. She will fly right away...
• Bad Pun Rainbow. Your puns are bad, and you should feel bad, Dash!
• We finally saw Scootaloo's house!
I was thinking- will the season end with the Equestria Games as season 1 with the Grand Galloping Gala, or with the mane 6 opening that mysterious box? Or... maybe both?! DUN DUUNN DUUUUNNNN!
• In the end scene, when they already won and stuff, we zoom in, and see Scoot staring at her flank. My heart literally stopped! I thought that she would get her Cutie Mark right there! Ugh Hasbro, you big troll! Not cool Hasbro, NOT COOL!
-Overview-
That was a great episode. I loved it so much, that I'm not sure if I can find any flaws!
10 out of 10- that's my verdict.
Have a happy week, and see you later!

Disappointments

Recently I've been thinking about Daring Don't. I guess that I'm a bit disappointed...
I always loved Daring as a character, she was like the pony (female) version of Indiana Jones. And she always stayed fictional (in a fictional, pony world!). But now, after the new episode, everything changed! The ponies can go see Daring Do anytime they like, in reality. While when she was a book character, the only way you could communicate with her was by a book and using your imagination.
It feels as if that magical reader-character bond is broken.
For example- imagine your fave book chatacter, let's say... Bob Bobson, he's so cool and awesome, but one day you find out that Bob Bobson is alive, breathing the same air as you and walking on the same ground. Even more- all the insanely impossible things he did are true too! In fact, he wrote the books himself. That's not quite pleasant, for me.
I guess it's pretty hard to compare Daring Do and Bob Bobson, but just use your imagination.
That point of the episode really brought me down... hope that at least you don't mind the change.
Have a good time!

Daring Don't Review

Wow, just wow. This episode.... (see it here)
I've got lots of things to say, but let's start with the summary.
-Summary-
Fluttershy's teaching baby birds to fly, when Dash swoops in. The new Daring Do book is coming in 6 months! (Well, she knows how we feel before every season...)
Pinkie's throwing an "International Random Holiday" party, and Twi tells Dash that the book has been delayed. We find out that they're both huge fans, and Dash decides to stalk A.K Yearling, the author, and make her write faster.
The gang goes to her house and and see that it's ruined!!

Yearling walks in and thinks that they ruined the house,

but she drops the subject, and goes to find a book that has some mysterious ring in it.

Some randome stalions sneek in and try to take the ring. But NOPE! A.K Yearling is Daring Do, and she won't let that happen.
The ponies understand that everything in the books is real and Daring is on some sort of quest!
Meanwhile, some other buff pony shows up and the ring is stolen!

Daring flies away, saying that she works alone and doesn't want any help from Rainbow.
Despite Daring Do making it clear that she doesn't want them around, the ponies follow her. Rainbow rushes after her and persuades Daring to let her help. Well she's no help because she's hiding in the bushes most of the time.
They catch up with the theifs, who are pleasantly dining, and Daring comes up with the greatest plan ever: make a fake beard out of leaves!

Swag

Her identity is unveiled (what a shocker) when the evil Ahuizotl appears. He sends out an army of felines to fight Daring and get the ring. She is defeated and captured by them!

Dash's friends finally arrive, but she already lost hope and wants to go home. Twi gives her an inspirational speach, which lifts up her spirits. They all decide to save her by any cost!
While they're trying to find Daring, she is about to get eaten by piranhas.

We find out that Ahuizotl wants to use the ring to bring 8 centuries of deadly heat. But just in time Dash rescues her, and they save the day together (with the other ponies too).
The episode ends with Rainbow writing in the journal about her adventure. She also receives a copy of the book with herself on the cover a week earlier.
-Music-
The background music was cool, it added a certain adventurous  spirit.
And am I the only one who noticed the Wilhelm Scream in the episode? (hint hint it's at 14:50ish :D )
-Personal Opinion-
I thought that the episode was nice. Not what I expected, but nice. I was really shocked, because I expected that Twilight's mom was the author of the Daring Do series! Guess that it was just a rumor.
Few points I noticed:
• If Ahuizotl is real, and he is, then what is he? He's not a pony, dragon, nor griffon! I hope that this will be explored later in the show.
• Ahuizotl wants to bring 8 centuries of heat. Sounds familiar... How come he's not on the moon by now? :D
• Speaking of which, does Celestia or Luna know about all this? It's not possible that huge temples, mysterious creatures and magic heat-bringing rings were secret until then!
I really loved the way Daring and Dash grew closer. From strangers they became  good friends! That really made this episode awesome.
-Overview-
I love Daring Do. I love Rainbow Dash. Both of them in an episode together? Yes  please!
8 out of 10- that's my verdict.
Have a daring day/night!
Ps-
Fave part of the episode!
